What are RSS feeds?

An RSS feed is a regular updated summary of website content, along with links to full versions of that content. When you subscribe to a given website's feed by using a feed reader, you will receive a summary of new content from that website.

How do I use them?

You must use a feed reader in order to subscribe to website feeds. This programme will connect regularly to the favourite sites you have choosen with your feeds subscription and will collect the new information.

Advantages of web feeds?

When subscribing to a feed, users do not disclose their e-Mail address, so users are not increasing their exposure to threats associated with email: spam, viruses, phishing, and identity theft.

How to choose a feed reader?

Feed reader or aggregators reduce the time and effort needed to regularly check websites for updates, creating a unique information space or "personal newspaper." Once subscribed to a feed, an aggregator is able to check for new content at user-determined intervals and retrieve the update.
